Modern Fort

As a freelancer I am given a wide variety of projects and amazing opportunities, one of which was taking on the position of head graphic designer for Modern Fort Design Co.

Modern Fort is a team of women collaborating to create change through design with the aim to strengthen our generation for a better tomorrow. We create products that can contribute to real change in the community. We want to help build social awareness through design and continue to fund projects that supports an individual’s social, emotional, and mental well-being.

Each month, we run a campaign and feature an organization, or project, that has been making an immense difference in the community. We will shed light on their cause and share their incredible story. As a token of gratitude, products purchased during the campaign will help raise funds and awareness towards the featured cause for the month. You can count that these goods will do good. But here’s the catch… we don’t want to just give money away. We want it to be meaningful. How you ask? Well, this is where our creative sides will be challenged. Follow us on our social media sites as we unfold our random acts of kindness to those who really deserve it.

To support the cause and get your hands on our products, visit Modern Fort’s shop here! Be sure to follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for all our updates. If you know of an organization or cause that should be recognized and celebrated email hello@modernfort.comOne month. One campaign. One love.

Oregon Coast

Ended summer with a perfect getaway to Oregon Coast with some of my most favourite people. Our home for the weekend was a beautiful 2 story beachfront house in Lincoln City. Every day went as follows: sleep in > big breakfast > nothingness > lunch > explore the city > liquor run > dinner cook off aka Master Chef Oregon Couples Edition > hot tub > bon fire > hot tub > bed time > repeat – with snacks, naps and many alcoholic beverages in between. Our house had the best view over looking the beach with an even better view of the sunset. We visited Cannon Beach, the lighthouse in New Port and of course our beach-backyard Roads End – all such breath taking sights. This was a trip to remember and we will most certainly be making this an annual thing!
