February, you were one hell of a roller coaster.

This month has been terrifying. It has been emotionally draining. It has been one of the hardest times of my life. It has opened my eyes. It has given a new meaning to the word strength. It has been a miracle. The strength my Aunt has could move mountains, she is a fighter, believer and soon-to-be walking miracle. Thank you Auntie Tita for holding on so you could continue to be the most loving mom to my cousins and bestest friend and sister to my mom. Thank you for bringing us all together and making us realize the 2 most important things in life – family and faith.

I’ve got a sweet tooth for days and a relentless carb-consuming habit that won’t kick, so needless to say the key to my heart on Valentines day is food. Valentines day update: I took my own advice and made the heart-shaped cinnamon buns for my boyfriend. As for my lucky self, I got spoiled with a delicious dinner at Blue Water Cafe + Raw Bar and ice cream for dessert at La Casa Gelato. 218 different ice cream flavours and what do we get? Cotton Candy? Granny Smith Apple? Pistachio? Red bean & coconut? Pog & Expresso? Balsamic Vinegar? Nopeee.. Strawberry banana for me and strawberry cheesecake for my boyfriend, yepp we’re some serious dare devils. Yummy food + puppy Valentines card + Disney princess Valentines ballon + ending with the latest episode of Modern Family & snuggles, twas a good day! Hope you all got spoiled rotten with lots of love, hugs and kisses too!

InstaJanuary

The first month of 2013 is over and it went as quickly as it came. I am now 38 days late of making my new years resolutions list, whoops! Unfortunately, like blogging (my sincerest apologies, I promise I’ll step my game up), it’s been put on the back burner due to an overwhelming amount of work and the recent discovery of American Netflix. BUT I swear I’ve cut down on Netflix.. and as for my list, I guess I’ll give it a go. I’m going to keep it sweet and simple because I made little new year goals to myself on January 1st and it was a big fail, so much so that I forgot what they were. The only one I do remember is no texting while driving. When I realized this was impossible I changed it to “light texting while driving”.. I’d be lying if I said I’ve stuck to this resolution, but I swear, like Netflix, I have cut down. Here we go:
1. Focus
2. Work harder than ever
3. Get out of my comfort zone as much as possible
4. Live, love and laugh more
As you can see they’re all very general but they will be my 2013 keys to being a better me *cue Kanye – Stronger*. To make this official I have pinned this list to my bulletin board so I can look at it every single day.

I feel like this should end with “Happy New Year! Good luck with your resolutions!” But clearly I’m a little late so I’ll stick with the classic happy-almost-Friday and happy February!
